Restoring Tidal Swamp, Marsh and Connectivity- Yaquina Estuary, OR (2021)

This project restored tidal marsh and swamp habitat by removing fill from an old road grade to restore tidal connectivity, restoring 0.21 acres of tidal marsh, and restoring tidal swamp habitat on 3.53 acres by removing invasive species, placing nurse logs, seeding/planting native species, and monitoring survival of plants to inform additional work in high priority wetlands in conservation ownership in the Yaquina (233 acres) and Alsea (290 acres) estuaries.
